Get it together...
I have an Imitrex hangover. Better than the migraine that was living in my head the past 2 days, but dang it, I need to wake up. My husband gets home from Mexico in an hour and I can’t wait to see him! Also, I need to put together the shoe rack I bought him for his tiny closet. This what surprises look like after 2 years of marriage, a sexy shoe rack.
The Bachelor has stooped to new lows of...
And why does Ben seem to scold the girls when he tells them to go? He is a terrible Bachelor. I can’t believe I still watch this show….

I can barely keep up with my media tonight.
Oh, yep, the American Human Association. Good.
The puppy bowl on Animal Planet is adorable, as...
Are these little guys available for adoption or what? Seems like something the SPCA or Humane society would sponsor to raise awareness…
Superbowl Sunday
We’re sticking around here for the game, making snacks and dinner and relaxing. Friends are having a party, but Matt has to study all day and then just wants to chill. Beer in hand, feet up, laid out on the couch with me at his beck and call. Which, today, I am happy to do. I love having him home! He was traveling last week, in school Friday and Saturday, working tomorrow and study...
I just Skyped with my 92 year old Nana for the...
She is so little, she was down in the bottom right hand corner of the screen the whole time. She needs a Skypeing booster seat.
Waiting for my sweetie to get home from Orlando.
Next week he gets to go to Cabo for business. That’s a fun destination. Still though, it would be nice if his career kept him home more often.

Oh my God, everybody is doing these now.
After lazing around yesterday and eating out two...
it’s time for some productivity. I spent the day doing laundry, organizing my gigantic tea stash, watering plants, washing dishes, updating my resume, and running to the store. I can’t promise I’ll cook a fabulous meal tonight, but we won’t be going out. I like when weekends are a balance of rest/rejuvenation and checking things off the to do list.
Also, I can't even put on a real shoe today due to...
So, I didn’t walk the dogs with Matt (favorite thing to do), and I won’t be getting off the couch. I’m going to be a lump. Movie time, yay.
So we ended up having the Mexican food and margs I...
…and so today I will definitely be needing that nap. Too much tequila, ugh.
I had grand plans for Mexican food and margs, but...
Such a dilemma. I suffer so.
Today, in laziness.
I went to the gym on my way from lunch with a friend. I stripped down to change into workout gear, and realized I forgot to pack a sports bra. So I redressed, drove 2 short blocks to my house, where I am now lounging with Coco and watching Dr. Oz rather that grabbing a sports bra and returning to the gym. Only 2 blocks away. My laziness kicked in over the course of only 2 blocks. Well, in my...
I had acupressure and acupuncture done yesterday...
It already seems to be helping my shoulder. Kind of amazing. I’m scheduled for Friday as well….heal me heal me heal me….

You people get a cup. And not with a saucer.
I live in a parallel universe
where I am simultaneously a person who has family members that can’t afford health insurance and a person attempting to buy a wedding gift from a registry that contains an $1850 covered vegetable dish. I think ya invited the wrong gal, people!
I have an appointment with an ENT at 1:00.
I’m going to ask him, in all seriousness, to look in there and tell me if I’ve had a sinus infection for 3 years. Because that’s what it has felt like. My PCP just isn’t cutting it when it comes to my sinuses anymore, and it’s time for some intervention. Hopefully I won’t need another surgery (I had one in 1998), but I’ve heard the results only last so...
Top Executive MBA Programs of 2011: A Changing of... →
I joined Matt yesterday after his classes for a reception about this year’s Bloomberg ranking. SMU, moving on up. We are so fortunate that he is having this experience. It’s a huge undertaking, school on top of work (for which he travels generally weekly), but he is loving it. I’m proud of him. One semester down, 5 to go.
I have 9 lives like a cat!
Made it through another layoff. And everyone in my territory did too. DFW is a medical hub so it’s generally not as bad here. Phew, though. Although the industry has changed, it’s always nice to have choices. So I’m thankful.
Just got the sweetest text from my former boss...
Even if the industry has changed for the worse, the people are always great. That is what makes these regular shakeups so tough. Every 18 mos or so in pharma, you see really good people put into an unthinkable situation. No income. For married folks with two incomes, it’s maybe not as hard. But I have some dear friends who are single with a house payment, or married with kids and their...
