Headed here in a few hours. They are dog friendly so it’s our home for the next week.
We packed up and moved things into the garage and kitchen/laundry room/mudroom/back bedroom/bath area today. Vicki was here texturing the family room ceiling. The grout guy came back to check out the totally messy unprofessional job his “guy” did on our bathrooms, including the ruined green wallpaper. We have to order it again, and Vicki has to put it up again. Not pleased about that. Tomorrow the movers arrive to put our furniture into the PODS sitting in our driveway, and we move into the hotel for a week. Now we are watching the World Series (Go Rangers!) and waiting on a pizza. What? It’s Halloween tomorrow and time to celebrate tonight? Ok, I’m going as a tired and exasperated homeowner.
This has been a super annoying week. Matt has been out of town since Sunday morning (our 1st wedding anniversary) for work, only to return last night for a few hours - because he just flew out again for the day. My poor husband is exhausted. I am also exhausted from working with my boss (always nerve wracking) for 2 days, taking the dogs to and from daycare each day because the painter is still in our house, generally just dealing with 3 dogs and their walks/feedings/attention needs/etc all by myself (but I do love them so), talking to the painter as she finally finishes each day around 7:00ish (I don’t like to talk much after working as a sales rep all day, plus hurry up and GET OUT of my house its been 3 freaking months), cleaning everything out of the kitchen pantry, laundry room, and bathrooms for the tile guy (who I am waiting for right now), and getting ready to move everything out of the house this weekend for the hardwood floor guys. Oh yes, this weekend will be super annoying too with all that moving out stuff. And the whole next week living at a hotel with 3 high energy terriers pretty much stuck in one room? Can’t wait!
Enough bitching though. Nobody likes a whiner. We will get through it. It’s the final stretch of home renovation round one. We need a break for our sanity and our bank accounts. All we will have left to do is windows and bathrooms. I think. Hmmm…I’m sure something else will pop up. Oh, outside lighting. And we need to buy some rugs, dining room furniture, living room slipcovers and coffee tables/etc. Um….yeah. All in good time, all in good time.
…except for that it is the Best Thing Ever.

Yay, I love this! Ok Go performed at the first national sales meeting I attended with my company. They are so fun to watch with all their props. Especially with doggies as their props! I’m so happy they support animal rescue :)
What is the deal with Tumblr not uploading the pictures I attach to a post? It’s annoying to attach 5 pictures and only 2 show up.
