I just had a blood test done at my new Allergist’s office to determine if I am indeed allergic to shellfish, or if that was just a fluke anaphylactic reaction to scampi 10 years ago. In which case, I would have been needlessly avoiding shellfish for the past decade. I had a skin test done at the time, but this doc says that only blood tests can really show a true food allergy. Spring has sprung,
and I am so glad. Even though it means that I had to go to my doctor for a steroid shot this morning to nip my allergies in the bud. I’m feeling better already. My parents are coming to visit from Ohio on Wednesday, and my sister is arriving from Chicago on Thursday. I’m looking forward to my days off to spend with them in this beautiful weather.

This is amazing! I love it! What a dream to operate a place like that. Hard work, to be sure, and very needing of charitable support. But to give little old doggies like my Harold a place to ride out the end of their lives in comfort….just priceless. I would love a house full of Harolds.

Just called my dear former roomie in Cleveland.
She answered the phone in a loud, crowded bar where she was having a happy hour glass of wine. After a few seconds I told her I would call her back tomorrow to catch up, let her enjoy her wine, etc. I said, “I miss you!” She replied, “I miss you, I LOVE you!!!”
Instantly I am transported back to Ohio in my mind, driving to the bar after work to have a glass of wine...
