I’m on my second cup of green tea, killing time on Tumblr, waiting to leave for the airport.

One more day of work
…and then It’s off to Ohio for the holiday weekend. Matt has never been home with me for the 4th of July, and I can’t wait to share with him my own little slice of Americana. So far, from the past 5 years of trips home in the winter he gathers that, “Ohio is the coldest place on earth.” This weekend it’s supposed to be 85 and sunny in Perrysburg. Beautiful...

Well, I tried to update my business plan...
but the business planning tool was not updated with recent data yet. For some reason I still feel satisfied like I accomplished something, because I was so ready for this task, and it’s not my fault that I can’t do it. Ha. Checked off my to-do list.

emilyrose: Saturday night. Cleaning the house, packing, preparing. Dad’s in his room watching ESPN, I’m about to join him and change the channel to Khloe and Lamar reruns, and I never, ever, ever want to leave. But, I have to drive back tomorrow, buy groceries, finish my reading for ED500, and prepare for… Oh, sniffle. This post takes me back to 2003 and honestly made me tear up. How...

Strange....
My husband just went to the two closest gas stations by our house and both were out of gas. Like, as in, every pump was out. On Friday, when I filled up at one of the places, the pumps were soooo sloooow. I almost stopped before my tank was full because it was taking so long. But then I had a dark thought, as I am apt to do, about what if something happens and I need a full tank and there is...

Also, I was really hot all last week and sick of...
so I had Hallie cut off 6 inches yesterday. Immediate regret. I now look like a school marmish, girl scoutish, all around boring person. It’s just a blah medium blunt bob. Not like Gwenyth’s. Not like Jennifer Aniston’s. We were scared to do anything else to it because we were moving into short hair territory. Hallie asked me like 100 times if I was sure before she...

This makes me sad. →
A recent Gallup poll asked Americans which sex they would prefer if they could have only one child. About 40 percent said they would prefer a boy and 28 percent would prefer a girl, with the rest saying they had no preference or opinion on the question. Gallup has asked some version of this question 10 times since 1941, and the results always indicated a preference for boys. I just said...

Today was the first day I felt close to normal...
Sales meetings are just too much everything. Overload. I was having my usual OCD episodes times 10 with no interruption for normal life. Just straight panic about everything, had to take care of everything, everything sucks and must be perfected…. I don’t have panic attacks, but I felt like I was going crazy for a few days. Oddly enough, a decent field ride with my boss kind of...

My welcome home after a week in Vegas.
Jun 17th
Having my morning coffee.
It’s the Kona blend for Keurig, yum. I got up at 5:00 to do a Dave Farmer Baptiste yoga podcast. I wanted some zen before the descent into madness that is a national sales meeting in Vegas. Now I am off to the airport where I will turn on the perma smile and perma pep until Friday when I return, exhausted and full of ire towards all people.
