R (voicemail): Call me back, and remind me to to tell you about Satan's Cards! It's over, we're dead!
Me (googling Satan's Cards, getting info about the Illuminati and the New World Order, the Revelation, etc): What the hell, R?
R (finally on phone): No, I said SAVINGS CARDS, if they pull them then Big Pharma is dead.
Me: Ohhhhhhhh, gotcha. I mean on any given day...you could have been calling about Satan's Cards.
My parents are really amazing people.
Spending time with them reminds me to be sweeter, kinder, gentler, more thoughtful, more patient, more helpful, less judgmental, less materialistic, less stressed, and to enjoy every minute of every day.
It’s a pity we don’t see each other more often. I miss them already.
Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by...

It's the little things that make me happy...
like little bitty weights. I finally used 1 pound dumbells in my shoulder rehab exercises yesterday. I am so super excited to be using weights, even if they are only the smallest possible in the world. You gotta start somewhere, and I haven’t lifted a damn thing with my left arm since October.
I am progressing, I will be back in yoga soon (like probably months still, but soon), I am...

How Dogs Help Veterans Cope with PTSD by TIME Video
“He has the physical scars on the outside, but we have the mental scars on the inside. That’s where we heal each other and meet in the middle of the road.”
Like many veterans, David Sharpe struggles with PTSD after serving in the United States Air Force. David says his life was saved thanks to Shian, a pooch from a...
Sunday night thoughts
-My dearest family friend is pregnant. She told me last night on the phone. I have had other close girlfriends have babies, but she feels like a sister, we were raised together. I’m so happy for her!
-Hubby flew to Chicago earlier today. But only for one night, yay. This is unusual. Very glad it’s a quick trip this time.
-I finally cleaned out my piles of jeans (amongst...
Saturday
It’s raining and cold in Dallas, but it’s not bothering me. Reasons why it won’t get me down:
-My husband is finally home for 2 days before he takes off again.
-His father was released from the hospital today.
-We were able to walk the doggies together before the weather rolled in.
-He was caught up enough on studying that he could join me at the gym.
-I had a good workout...
My father in law should be moved out of ICU today...
He should be released on Saturday. We are very thankful that he is on the road to recuperation.
Life
My husband flew to New York tonight to be with his father tomorrow as he undergoes a major medical procedure. While I am confident it will go well, it is always scary when a loved one faces a serious illness and surgery. Coupling this with the fact that my husband lost his mother unexpectedly at age 16 during a medical procedure, it is even a bit more scary. My heart is with Matthew and my...

Wrong-way crash kills 3 from BGSU - Toledo Blade →
My mom just told me about this while we were chatting on the phone. These BGSU (my alma mater) girls were on their way to a fun filled Spring Break trip. What a tragic accident. So sad.
One hour before picking up my own car, I just curb...
It is totally shredded about 7-8 inches around. Looks like shit. The irony is that I was just exiting a car wash because I wanted to return his car to him freshly cleaned since I’ve been driving it for a week. Not with an f****d up rim. This is why I can’t have nice things. I’m just prone to dumbassery.
