Wow, this story made the UK Daily Mail. I’m so proud of the animal loving and rescue community in Dallas right now! The pressure this guy must have felt to turn himself in….and I truly hope the community outpouring of rage will deter others who would abuse animals. You won’t get away with it. We care and we will find you.

I am one of the people involved in the medical care of Justice in the time prior to his transport to Texas A&M. I can promise you, that by the wagging of his tail, the nuzzling of his head against your hand and the look in his eyes, that he, at the very least, DID know love while he was with us. This is something to hold on to but it is not enough. We ALL need to do something about this.

I am so, so upset. Matthew told me this week that he donated to DFW Rescue Me because they took another terrible case. I asked what, and he wouldn’t tell me because I get so depressed about these poor animals. Well, the story came across Twitter (randomly Judd Apatow retweeted it) and it is AWFUL! This is the neighborhood that I dreaded going to work in. Stray dogs, dead dogs, chained...
