You Can't Take the Ohio Out of the Girl
Just got the sweetest text from my former boss (same company).
Even if the industry has changed for the worse, the people are always great. That is what makes these regular shakeups so tough. Every 18 mos or so in pharma, you see really good people put into an unthinkable situation. No income. For married folks with two incomes, it’s maybe not as hard. But I have some dear friends who are single with a house payment, or married with kids and their wife stays home. I know it’s the general situation across the country for the past few years, but the terrible economy hasn’t really hit Texas as hard. So, now it’s hitting me and mine and it’s sad. My direct partner’s husband was laid off on Friday from a different industry. She’s freaking out.
